A Suffolk workshop, not a showroom

Every Square & True kitchen is drawn for the room, made bench by bench at Mickfield and installed by our own fitters. Nothing is subcontracted. Doors and frames are hand-painted by brush, drawer boxes are dovetailed oak, and the finished kitchen carries a ten-year guarantee.

Because the workshop is here, the whole process stays close to the house. You can stand at the benches while your cabinetry is being made, approve paint and timber samples in person, and deal with the same people from survey to handover. Square & True is the kitchen brand of Reeve & Co Interiors, the joinery company at the same address.

Much of our Suffolk work is in period and listed buildings — the medieval wool-town houses of Lavenham and Long Melford, Georgian townhouses in Bury St Edmunds, coastal homes at Aldeburgh and Southwold. Cabinetry there has to answer uneven floors, original beams and historic proportions, which is joinery work rather than unit planning.

The workshop is on Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket IP14 5LS. Visitors are welcome by appointment, and it is the quickest way to judge whether the standard is the one you want.

Doors and frames are hand-painted by brush rather than sprayed, so the finish keeps a little texture and can be touched in years later. Drawer boxes are dovetailed oak throughout. Aftercare is a phone call to the workshop, and every kitchen carries a ten-year guarantee.
