Square & True’s workshop is on Stonham Road, Mickfield, about four miles from Stowmarket. Every kitchen we make is drawn, built, hand-painted and fitted from here, by the same small team.

A workshop, not a showroom

We do not have a high-street showroom. Instead, you can visit the workshop by appointment and see kitchens on the benches and in the finishing room, which tells you far more about how a kitchen is made than a display ever could. There is parking in the yard.

Mid Suffolk is a county of timber-framed farmhouses, village houses and converted barns, from Needham Market and Debenham to Eye and the villages in between. Rooms are rarely square, floors are rarely level, and beams and posts sit exactly where a standard unit would want to go. We draw every kitchen for the room as it is and scribe it to fit.

• Survey. We measure the room ourselves; the person who measures it is the person who draws it.
• Drawings. Plans and elevations, then a full-size setting-out before anything is machined.
• Workshop. Made bench by bench at Mickfield and dry-fitted there before delivery.
• Fitting. Installed by our own fitters, not subcontracted.
