Who we are

Square & True is a trading name of Reeve & Co Interiors Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 09593800, whose registered office is Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 5LS. We are the data controller for the information described here, and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under number ZC219579.

What we collect

When you make an enquiry we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the location of your project, its type, your budget band, your intended timeline and how you found us. If you go on to commission work from us we also hold correspondence, drawings, site survey information, photographs of the work and payment records.

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and at present carries no third-party analytics at all. The only cookies it sets are the ones WordPress needs to run the site. If we add analytics later we will say so here, and ask your consent first.

Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry, to prepare a design and a quotation, to carry out and install the work, to honour the guarantee, and to keep the records the law requires us to keep. Our lawful bases are the performance of a contract, or steps taken before entering one; our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have made and in keeping a record of work we have carried out; your consent, where you have asked to hear from us, which you may withdraw at any time; and our legal obligations for tax, accounting and construction records.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become commissions are deleted after two years. Records of completed commissions are kept for the life of the guarantee and for the periods required by tax and construction law, and the drawings and finish schedules are kept indefinitely so that a piece can be repaired or matched years later. If you would rather we did not, tell us.

Who else sees it

Nobody, other than the suppliers necessary to complete the work — a stone fabricator, a carrier, an appliance supplier — and our accountants and professional advisers. We do not sell data and we do not share it for marketing.

Keeping in touch, and the Reeve & Co group

Square & True is a trading name of Reeve & Co Interiors Ltd, which also trades as Reeve & Co Interiors, Bryn Hall and Sporting Cabinetmakers. We are one company, working from one workshop at Mickfield, and we keep one record of the people who deal with us. So if you use the room planner here and later ask us about a dresser or a gun cabinet, we already know who you are.

If you buy from us, or ask us to quote, we may write to you occasionally about our own work across those four names. You can stop that at any time: there is a tick box on our enquiry forms and at checkout, an unsubscribe link on everything we send, and you are welcome to simply email or ring us instead. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone, and we do not use them for anybody else’s advertising.

We record where each set of details came from and the date we received them, so we can always show you why we hold them.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our holding it, ask for it in a portable form, or withdraw a consent you have given. Write to hello@squareandtrue.uk, or to Square & True, Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 5LS. We will answer within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, on 0303 123 1113, or at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF — though we would rather you came to us first so that we can put it right.

Where your data is held

Your data is held in the United Kingdom on our own systems and with our website host and email provider. Where a supplier processes data outside the United Kingdom we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, so that your data keeps the protection it has here.
