Accessibility

Our accessibility statement: the standard we build to, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us where we have got it wrong.

What we aim for

This website is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means text can be resized to 200% without loss of content, colour contrast meets the required ratios, every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, images carry alternative text, and the page works with a screen reader.

How it is built

The site is static HTML with no JavaScript required to read any page. Headings are properly nested. Tables have row and column headers. Form fields have visible labels. Focus states are visible and are not removed.

Where we may fall short

We have not yet had the site independently audited. Photographs of completed work will be added after the first shoot, and we will write descriptive alternative text for each rather than a filename. PDF documents issued to specifiers are not yet tagged for screen readers; if you need one in an accessible format, ask and we will provide it.

Tell us

If any part of this site is difficult to use, email hello@squareandtrue.uk or telephone 01449 710510 and we will fix it. We would rather know.

Start a conversation

Tell us about the room, the house and roughly when you would like to be cooking in it. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it.
