Furniture-grade kitchens for Cambridge and the county
Cambridge houses are rarely simple: Victorian terraces with side returns, listed college-area townhouses, Georgian rectories out in the villages and serious architect-led new builds. A kitchen here has to be drawn around awkward proportions and original fabric, which is joinery work rather than unit planning.
Every kitchen is drawn for the room, made bench by bench at Mickfield and hand-painted by brush, with dovetailed oak drawer boxes throughout and a ten-year guarantee. Our own fitters install it and nothing is subcontracted. Square & True is the kitchen brand of Reeve & Co Interiors, the joinery company at the same address.
The workshop is about an hour east along the A14, so surveys, sample approvals at the house and fitting all sit inside a normal programme. We work across Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket, Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots and the surrounding villages.

Made in one workshop, fitted by one team
The workshop is on Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket IP14 5LS. Cambridgeshire clients are welcome to visit by appointment — standing in the bench shop and the finishing room is the quickest way to judge the standard before committing to a programme.
Doors and frames are hand-painted by brush rather than sprayed, so the finish keeps a little texture and can be touched in years later. Drawer boxes are dovetailed oak throughout, and aftercare is a phone call to the workshop.

Survey
We come to the house, measure properly and work out how the room needs to run before anything is drawn.
Drawings
Plans, elevations and details: cabinetry, appliances, worktops, finishes and any adjoining rooms, agreed before making starts.
Workshop
Made bench by bench at Mickfield, hand-painted by brush, with dovetailed oak drawer boxes throughout.
Fitting and aftercare
Installed by our own fitters, then a ten-year guarantee and aftercare direct from the workshop.

Do you cover Cambridge itself?
Yes — central Cambridge, the college areas and the villages. The workshop is about an hour east along the A14, so surveys, sample approvals and fitting are straightforward.
How long does a kitchen take?
Fourteen to twenty weeks from agreed brief to installation, plus the design stage before that. You get a written programme before anything is made.
What does a Square & True kitchen cost?
Kitchens start at £45,000. Most land between £65,000 and £120,000, depending on the size of the room, the range and the worktops.
