Shop terms and returns

These terms apply to appliances, taps and sinks bought through this website. They do not apply to bespoke joinery or fitted kitchens commissioned from Square & True, which are covered by a separate contract.

Last updated 1 September 2026.

1. Who you are buying from

Square & True is a trading name of Reeve & Co Interiors Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 09593800, at Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 5LS. You can reach us at hello@squareandtrue.uk.

2. Prices

Prices shown include VAT at the prevailing rate. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay. We take payment when you place your order.

We take care to price correctly, but if we find an item has been listed at the wrong price we will contact you before dispatch. You may then confirm the order at the right price or cancel it for a full refund. We will not simply charge you more.

3. Your order

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm the goods have been dispatched, or that they are ready for collection.

4. Delivery

Most orders are delivered within 14 days. Where an item will take longer we will tell you before we take payment, and you may cancel at that point. In any event, unless we agree a later date with you, we will deliver within 30 days of your order.

Delivery charges, and the difference between parcel and vehicle delivery, are set out on our delivery page. Goods remain at our risk until they are delivered to the address you gave us.

Please check your goods on delivery and tell us within 48 hours if anything is damaged. This does not limit your legal rights; it is a request, because we are given only a short window in which to claim against our own supplier, and a prompt call is the difference between a replacement by return and a longer wait.

5. Cancelling — your 14-day right

If you are buying as a consumer you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the goods, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You do not need to give a reason. Tell us in writing at hello@squareandtrue.uk.

We will refund the price of the goods and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of your proof that you have sent them, whichever is sooner.

6. Return carriage

Where you cancel for any reason other than the goods being faulty, damaged or not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning them to us. Small items may be returned by any carrier. For appliances, range cookers, fireclay sinks and other items delivered by our own vehicle we can arrange collection and will charge the same rate you paid for delivery — £50, £150, £240 or £350 depending on distance. You may instead return the goods free of charge to Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 5LS.

7. Condition of returned goods

You may handle the goods as you would in a shop. If you handle them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and function — for example by installing, plumbing in or wiring in an item, cutting a worktop for it, or removing protective film or fitted components — we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value. An appliance or tap that has been installed cannot be returned to our supplier and its resale value to us is nil.

8. Returns after 14 days

We are not obliged to accept a return once the cancellation period has ended, but we will usually do so up to 30 days from delivery, provided the goods are unused, unfitted, in their original undamaged packaging and fit for resale as new. A restocking charge of 25% of the price of the goods applies to all returns accepted under this clause, together with the cost of return carriage. This reflects the charge our own supplier makes to us. Special-order and non-stock items cannot be returned under this clause.

9. Business customers

Where you buy in the course of a business the statutory cancellation right in clause 5 does not apply. Returns are at our discretion, must be requested within seven days of delivery, and are subject to a restocking charge of 25% of the price of the goods together with return carriage. Special-order and non-stock items are not returnable.

10. Goods made to your specification

Goods manufactured or finished to your specification cannot be cancelled or returned once the order has been placed with the manufacturer, except where they are faulty, damaged or not as described. Where this applies we will say so clearly on the product page and again before you pay.

11. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods

Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you pay nothing: we arrange collection and will repair, replace or refund.

You have 30 days from delivery to reject faulty goods and ask for a full refund. After that, and for the first six months, we will repair or replace, and it is for us to show the fault was not there at delivery. Manufacturers’ guarantees are in addition to these rights, not instead of them.

12. Waste electrical equipment

When you buy a new electrical appliance from us we can take your old one for recycling. Ask us when you order and we will tell you how.

13. If something goes wrong

Email hello@squareandtrue.uk and we will answer within two working days. We would always rather sort a problem out directly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
